simple as a networked thermometer
required some understanding of electrical
engineering. Now it’s a Saturday-afternoon
project for a beginner.”

By training trainers — helping teachers
teach teachers — we support leadership
development and innovation in and out of
school.

OPEN DATA/OPEN MINDSI
ODOM is a prototyping ini9a9ve that explores the possibili9es of
connected learning, fabrica9on, open data and civic
engagement. We’ve prototyped a connected notebook using a
Wi-Fi dev board from Par9cle.io: the notebook records the
height of the 9de in real-9me, pulling informa9on from the
internet into the notebook. A simple set of parallel circuits
register the height of the 9de whenever the circuit system —
and the notebook — is on a network.
