Deacons is 180 hours of training, Meet every Thursday for prayer. 40 hours for Stephen Ministers, Synodical position, PSD Position, Walther letter, no one can do soul care besides pastor? Denver friends when John was born.
Pastors are not trained for this. Some small mid-western pastors would say that it is wrong for a pastor to even get involved in this. That is why Synod has PLI. Years past, structured differently. But at todayâs fast-paced and legal world, staff is needed 24/7 to manage CLV Inc. Times in CLVâs history when this has been a full-time job. Like saving money â must always be increasing, not decreasing. I am a scrooge. Because of my previous career, I have lost more sleep about CLV Inc than is probably healthy.

Early Church no Professional Pastor Class. Just the church.
Early Church â all house churches.
Number one place where true discipleship occurs is in ministries. Groups of people who gather together to do work in Godâs Kingdom. Church is the safe space to do this. Soul Care is important. But Church is where growth happens.

We take pride and ownership of ministries, want them done well. But the key word here is relationship. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, bring someone along.
