made phenomena.
4. Components of Environment
Natural Environment
• The natural environment
refers to both Biotic(plants
and animals) and A biotic
conditions existing on the
earth. Its consists of
Lithosphere, Hydrosphere,
Atmosphere and Biosphere.
Human Environment
• The human
environment refers to
the activities, creation
and interactions among
human beings
7. Lithosphere
It is the solid crust or
the hard top layer of
the earth. It is made up
of rocks & minerals & is
covered wit soil. It has

rays & scorching
heat of the sun. It
consists of number
of gases, dust &
water vapours.
10. Biosphere
Plant & animal
kingdom together
make the Biosphere

is the narrow zone of
the earth where
land, water and air
interact with each

11. Ecosystem
All plants, animals &

organism and their
surroundings form an

Human beings interact with the
environment and modify it according to
their needs. Since time immemorial humans
are modifying the natural environment.
They have build dams cross rivers, factories
roads etc. but a perfect balance is necessary
between the human & natural
environment. We must learn to live and use
