Need for study:
The research is subjected to study the effectiveness of e-commerce
among the consumers. Also, it will reflect upon the growth of e-
commerce while understanding the factors responsible for the
growth.
•Youth to drive e-commerce growth in India: IAMI
summit
•Penetration of digital products is the highest amongst youth. 61.2 per
cent Indians are below 30 years and 50 per cent are below 25 years. 22
per cent of the advertisement products cater to the youth and 59 per
cent of the advertisements are youth oriented

additional 18 million users coming online each year, the annual rate of

consumers
H1 – E- Commerce has a direct impact on spending habit of young
consumer
 How many hours do you surf the internet in a day?
This question was asked to know the age group which is more
inclined to the internet usage. People in between the age group of
16-20 years surf on internet the most. Overall, 35% of people
browse on internet daily for 2-4 hrs.
Have you ever made any purchases Online?
Almost 57% of the people prefer shopping online. People
Between the age group 26-30 shops online the most
because its time saving and for lot many factors.
 Why do you prefer shopping online?
Most of the people prefer shopping online due to the convenience. They find it more
convenient shopping online rather than buying products from a shop
According to you is it safe shopping online?
Most of the people were confused about it. They think it may be or may not be safe
shopping online depending upon a company branding their product and their
brand image 37% of the people replied positively
What kind of products do you prefer buying online?
Most of the people are inclined towards buying apparels as they find better and
various options. After apparels gadgets are the products which respondents buy
specially in the age group of 21-25.
 Which form of marketing do you think is most effective?
52% of the people thinks that internet marketing is most effective than
others and it has a long way to go as it is gaining the trust of the people
and people are becoming more tech savy.
Does internet marketing has future in the competitive marketing field?
I basically asked this question to know that whether the people from
different age groups appreciate internet marketing and are ready to
welcome its innovations in future and 67%of the people think it has a
bright future in the coming years.
 How many time do they shop and how much do they spend
35% of them visit once a month and do shopping for Rs 1500-Rs.2000
30% of them visit once in two Months and shop for Rs. 2000-Rs.3500
17% Visit only during sale and shop for Rs. 1500-Rs.2500
18% Visit for site comparison.
 Internet marketing is on the edge of proving that it has become
the top priority of all the business firms
As most of the people are dependent on the internet for buying
different products. They mostly rely on the services provided online.
Internet Marketing provides convenience and services to
consumers at the tip of their fingers
