ABOUT YOUR CONSULTANT
Derek Hendrikz is a renowned trainer, speaker and consultant who during the past twenty years
have worked in South Africa, Austria, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda,
Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius, Ghana, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
He specialises in the training of executive teams and is mostly contracted to train Board Members
and EXCO teams in the field of strategy development, implementation, governance and other
executive areas. In consulting Derek has undertaken a myriad of projects, but holds highest acclaim
for his work in the development of organisational strategy and performance measurement.
Derek furthermore trains in the vicinity of 3000 people per year and over the past 20-years has
worked with more than 100 companies and has trained more than 50 000 participants in various
work sessions. Academically Derek holds tertiary and post graduate qualifications in the fields of
Business Administration, Labour Relations & Law; Training & Development; Facilitation Skills; and
Group Process Consultation.
He plays a leading role in the field of occupational training as the founding member and first
elected president of the Southern Africa Professional Trainers Association (SAPTA), who is the
leading association within the professional training arena in the Southern Africa Development
Countries (SADEC) region.
As a well-respected presenter and motivational speaker, his lively and inspirational presentations
have inspired many top business people and Government Employees to take action.
Derek regularly publishes articles in the field of Leadership, Management, and Organisational
Dynamics and has appeared in various television talk shows as a quest member. His current book
“Wizard of Org – The Art of Leadership and Practice of Management” is due to be published in
2014.
