A Note From the Harp
Direction through Rejection
Rejection is tough it turns your road from smooth to rough
It makes you do a one eighty making your life topsy-turvy
It can be hard and your life may seem scarred
But that is the way of rejection
It turns you in a different direction
It may not have been what you wanted
But if rejection did not happen then your path would be disrupted
For God works in mysterious ways
You will have your good and bad days;
But it is a part of God’s plan
And even if you do not understand
God still sent the Son of Man
So do not rethink your steps just because you can
There is a reason everything happens to you
God gives trials to perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you
So when rejection comes try to find the good in it
Just trust me it is there even if you can not see it
God has something planned for every occasion
All the time allowing our own choices and persuasions
The choices that we make will reveal a plan in His time
Providence is there amidst the pain of toil and crime
So do not get bogged down with our trivial society
When rejection comes do not succumb to deniability
Because it is going to happen
Your daily plans will be flattened
If they are not in accordance with God’s will
So if you do not get your way be not ill
Listen to what this message has instilled
Everything that happens will in God’s will be fulfilled.

Behold Your God – Part Two
In the previous article we considered behold-
ing God as the God who has supremacy over nature.
God had challenged Job with a number of questions
that Job could not answer but which God could be-
cause He had created all things and He had and he
still has power over His creation. In Psalms 147:4
the writer tells us that God “He counts the number
of the stars; He calls them all by name.” At one
time the number of stars was thought to be only a
few thousand but now they are counted in the bil-
lions but the final number is not known. Yet God
knows the number and He has a name for each of
them. His power over His creation is stated in a num-
ber of passages such as Psalms 107:25-29 where
we are told, “For He commands and raises the
stormy wind, Which lifts up the waves of the sea.
26 They mount up to the heavens, They go down
again to the depths; Their soul melts because of
trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like
a drunken man, And are at their wits' end. 28
Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He brings them out of their distresses. 29 He
calms the storm, So that its waves are
still.” (NKJV) The prophet Nahum speaks of God’s
power over the world he created. “The mountains
quake before Him, The hills melt, And the earth
heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all
who dwell in it. 6 Who can stand before His in-
dignation? And who can endure the fierceness of
His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And
the rocks are thrown down by Him.” (NKJV)
In the New Testament we see that Jesus,
God’s own Son has power over the natural world.
His first miracle showed that power when He turned
water into wine (John 2:1-11 NKJV). He healed Pe-
ter’s mother-in-law (Luke 4:38-41) as well as numer-
ous other people of various diseases and injuries .
He demonstrated His power over the tempest when
He Calmed the winds and waves on the Sea of Gali-
lee (Matthew 8:23-27). Jesus’ power over nature
was seen in those times he raised people from the
dead (Luke 7:11-16; Matthew 9:18-26; John 11:1-
45).
Secondly we need to behold our God as the
God of all knowledge. Long ago Isaiah asked the
question, “Who has directed the Spirit of the
LORD, Or as His counselor has taught Him? 14
With whom did He take counsel, and who in-
structed Him, And taught Him in the path of jus-
tice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed
Him the way of understanding?” (Isa. 40:13, 14).
The implied answer is “No one!”
