Nook Introduction A brand of electronic-book readers developed by American book retailer Barnes & Noble, based on the Android platform.  The original Nook includes Wi-Fi and AT&T 3G wireless connectivity, a six-inch E Ink display, and a separate, smaller color touch screen that serves as the primary input device.
Prices and News The original device was announced in the United States on 20 October 2009, and was released 30 November 2009 for $259. On June 21, 2010 Barnes & Noble reduced the Nook's price to $199 and announced the launch of a new Wi-Fi-only model for $149.
