A former senior executive for USAA Marketing, she now leads DMJ Consulting, a San Antonio-based firm, as the founder and CEO. In addition to this, Dawn Johnson serves on the board of trustees of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) South Central Texas Chapter.

the founder and CEO. In addition to this, Dawn Johnson serves on the
board of trustees of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) South
Central Texas Chapter.
The LLS’s South Central Texas Chapter maintains a number of different
programs, including several patient support programs, to uphold the
organization’s overall mission of curing blood cancer. In addition to
hosting a number of local support groups, the South Central Texas
Chapter maintains several other programs.
Back to School Program for Children with Cancer
Dedicated to helping children and youth cope after receiving treatment
for cancer, this program makes materials and videos available to
students from preschool to high school.
3. LLS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS CHAPTER
The materials are intended to teach parents, classmates, and
educators about issues relating to childhood cancer.
First Connection Program
This peer-to-peer program brings together newly diagnosed
patients with volunteers who have personal experience in
managing blood cancer. The volunteer survivors offer support and
valuable information about what the road ahead may be like for
new patients.
Co-Pay Assistance Program
This program is designed to ease the burden of medical bills for
blood cancer patients and their families. It helps individuals cover
insurance premiums and meet various co-pay obligations. It also
provides support for finding other forms of financial assistance.
