With more than four decades of public service to the San Francisco Bay Area community, Darlene Ayers-Johnson currently conducts community development and consulting work with Clear Channel Airports. From 2000 to 2008, Darlene Ayers-Johnson was a member of the Board of Port Commissioners of the Port of Oakland, and held a variety of elected positions including that of president. Tasked with overseeing 20 miles of waterfront, including the Oakland International Airport and the Oakland seaport, the Port of Oakland maintains hundreds of acres of parkland and a variety of commercial hubs such as Jack London Square. Darlene Ayers-Johnson achieved distinction through leading all aspects.
