2. Resume/CV Commentary
Resume/CVs are nice. They tell you where a
person has been and what they have done,
but what do they really say about the person?
We all have likes and dislikes about our jobs,
however, the resume/cv does not reflect the
enthusiasm we may have for certain aspects
of the jobs we have held.
3. Passions
In an ideal world we would be able to take all
of our favorite job duties and roll them into
one position. A collection of all things we are
most passionate about.
My position would include my passion for:
• Process Improvement
• Customer Service
4. Process Improvement
No two companies are alike. A process,
procedure, or organizational structure that
works for one company may not work for
another. I enjoy looking at the unique aspects
of a company, department, or process,
identifying where improvements could be
made, then working with teams to contribute
to the overall effective operation of a
process, department, or business. I believe
every process can be improved upon, even
the processes I have helped to create.
Growth is continuous.
5. Customer Service
Meeting customer needs has been at the
heart of every position I have ever held. In my
mind, everyone is a customer. Our colleagues
and supervisors, internal departments we
interact with, and those external to the
organization that we may work for or
manage.
Happy customers can mean more
productivity, repeat business, and overall
success.
6. A pioneer: unchartered territory
While my skills in the areas of Process
Improvement and Customer Service are
transferrable across many areas of the
clinical trial industry, my focus has always
been budgets and contracts.
During the past five years I had the
opportunity to be involved in several
"ground-breaking" projects.
It was exciting to be a pioneer; learning and
growing while applying my knowledge and
expertise.
7. A pioneer: unchartered territory
• Budgets: Meet the needs of a department
by training staff and developing processes
and tools that would allow the Proposal
group to provide their potential clients with
more accurate investigator grant estimates.
8. A pioneer: unchartered territory
• Contracts: Learn the needs of Drug Safety,
Data Management, and Medical Writing to
develop a contract and budget with the
respective vendor(s) that were selected to
be Functional Service Providers.
9. A pioneer: unchartered territory
• Budgets and Contracts: Create standard
operating procedures to reflect the work
flow between those creating site budgets,
those negotiating budgets and contracts,
finance, and project management.
10. What are your goals and objectives?
