Michigan 2013 Economic Outlook Survey
Approximately 30,000 survey invitations will be sent to members of more than 10 participating Michigan
associations asking them to take a brief survey on Michigan’s economic outlook in 2013.

Baker Strategy Group is a small Ann Arbor-based consulting firm and a Partner of the Detroit Economic Club. For the
last four years we have conducted the Michigan Manufacturing Outlook Survey with Chuck Hadden (CEO) and the
 Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA).

For 2013, we plan to broaden the outlook beyond the manufacturing sector to include companies in multiple
industries throughout the state of Michigan. The goal is to provide a sizeable dataset of responses from Michigan’s
business community that can provide insight into how to improve the economy in Michigan. This survey effort is
meant to be a collaborative program and complementary to the current economic analysis efforts that exist.

Michigan 2013 economic outlook survey program

  • 1. Program Overview as of 9/4/2012
  • 2. Michigan 2013 Economic Outlook Survey Approximately 30,000 survey invitations will be sent to members of more than 10 participating Michigan associations asking them to take a brief survey on Michigan’s economic outlook in 2013. Baker Strategy Group is a small Ann Arbor-based consulting firm and a Partner of the Detroit Economic Club. For the last four years we have conducted the Michigan Manufacturing Outlook Survey with Chuck Hadden (CEO) and the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA). Download summary charts of the results: http://www.bakerstrategy.com/2012/02/4th-annual-michigan-manufacturers-outlook-survey-2 View the article we wrote for MMA in April: http://issuu.com/insightonline/docs/insight030412 For 2013, we plan to broaden the outlook beyond the manufacturing sector to include companies in multiple industries throughout the state of Michigan. The goal is to provide a sizeable dataset of responses from Michigan’s business community that can provide insight into how to improve the economy in Michigan. This survey effort is meant to be a collaborative program and complementary to the current economic analysis efforts that exist. BAKER STRATEGY GROUP Thursday, August 30, 2012 Page 1
