Venegasia carpesioides is a species of flowering plant in the sunflower family known as Canyon sunflower. It is native to Baja California and southern California, where it grows in chaparral, coastal sage scrub, and oak woodland habitats. The Canyon sunflower is an annual or perennial herb that produces yellow flower heads in the summer.
