The Union City Chamber of Commerce held a grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting for a new yoga studio called All Things Serenity located in the Gaw Center for Arts & Wellness. The event included a ribbon cutting in the morning along with doughnuts, coffee and a free yoga class. All Things Serenity then offered additional free afternoon and evening yoga classes as part of the celebration. The studio offers various yoga classes throughout the week in a space with windows, wood floors and calming music.

UNION CITY — The
Union City Chamber of
Commerce sponsored a
grand opening and ribbon
cutting ceremony for their
newest business, All Things
Serenity, LLC-Yoga, located
in the newly renovated Gaw
Center for Arts & Wellness
at 106 E. High St., Union
City.
The grand opening
included an 8 a.m. ribbon
cutting with the UC Cham-
ber, as well as doughnuts
and coffee for guests. A free
9 a.m. yoga class followed
the ribbon ceremony.
All Things Serenity, LLC,
continued their celebration
by offering a 4:15 p.m. slow
flow class and their 6 p.m.
class for free, as well.
At 5 p.m., doors were
then opened to the com-
munity. There was cake,
drawings, information and
a walk-through of the build-
ing offered to community
members.
Weekly yoga classes are
held in the studio on the
top floor of the Gaw Center.
Tall front windows with
natural sunlight, dark wood
floors and stone walls make
up the yoga studio. Calming
music and a trickling foun-
tain complete the setting for
the yoga experience.
All Things Serenity offers
many different yoga classes
at the Gaw Center for Arts
& Wellness, including vin-
yasa flow, slow flow gentle
stretch, hot/power yoga,
prenatal yoga, Yogi’s choice
flow and family yoga.
There are also slow flow/
gentle stretch classes offered
by All Things Serenity at
The Dance Factory on Mar-
shall Road in Coldwater.

instructs most classes, with
Lou DeGraff and Carley
Robertson also providing
instruction.

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

oesn’t it seem like
everyone’s “gotta
guy?” If you need
electrical work done, or
your car needs a tune-
up, or you need a knee
replacement, your friends
all “gotta guy” who did
the job for them and now
they want their “guy” to
do the same job for you.
And, just to ensure
we’re not offending
anyone, the “guy” in this
statement is a non-
gender-specific entity
in the jargon of recom-
mendations. In fact,
when someone needs
some kind of specialized
baking, I gotta guy I rec-
ommend; it’s my wife.
So, what do you need?
We gotta guy. The Cham-
ber has a lot of guys.
Do you need a good
local restaurant for a
business meeting or for
tonight’s dinner with
the family? Do you need
a new privacy fence in
your back yard? How
about, some jewelry for
your spouse’s birthday
next week? Or, do you
need the expertise of a
good insurance agent,
a qualified investment
advisor, an experienced
real estate agent? Or does
your business need an
experienced source for
lease funding so you can
acquire the equipment
you need without using
up cash reserves… with
no surprises? I can speak
personally to that last
one.
The Chamber’s gotta
guy. Check it out.
And, when you look for
your guy, wouldn’t your
first choice be a Chamber
member, who supports
local business, and the
local community, with
their participation and
their dollars?
Chamber members
help each other, and the
community, by being
involved and by contrib-
uting some of their time
and money to Chamber
events, such as business
seminars and ribbon-cut-
tings, Music Under the
Stars, Farmers Market,
Strawberry-fest and
Apple-fest, networking
events, free web-landing
pages, Coldwater’s annual
award dinner, and many
other Chamber benefits
and functions that benefit
many.

member, it’s time to

guy” a few more times

taken advantage of the
option to increase that fee
in return for enhanced
marketing capabili-
ties, it’s still a relatively
small fee to be part of a
team of professionals,
who provide benefits for
one another, and for the
outreaching efforts of the
Chamber — those efforts
are being continuously
expanded (and, with full
participation from like-
minded business-people,
we could do even more).
I hope my clients view
my involvement with the
Chamber, and my com-
mitment to its members
and to the community, as
a plus when they decide
upon whom they should
do business with.
I know I place a value
in doing business with
people who are business
supporters. So, when
I search for my guy, I
search the Chamber
