This document is a term paper submitted for an M. Phil in Linguistics at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The paper examines linguistic factors that influenced changes in the English language in the 20th century after the 1920s. Specifically, it analyzes new linguistic approaches that emerged and replaced the traditional Latin-based model of language. The purpose is to explore how these approaches drove changes in language. The study also discusses how linguistic factors impact language teaching and how understanding these factors could help improve English language education standards in Pakistan.
