Masters degree in Applied Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL). Postgraduate training courses at the London Business School, INSEAD and at the Vlerick Management School. I began my career in 1980 as an assistant at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), and as lecturer at the Kortrijk campus (KULAK). In 1982 I participated in the launch of Dolmen Computer Applications for the Colruyt Group and became Sales Manager for the computer shops.
