Cisco began using Facebook for graduate recruitment to better connect with Generation Y candidates. They created a Cisco community page to openly communicate with candidates and share content like videos and pictures. Candidates could ask questions and Cisco could target ads. By being responsive and consistent with their content, Cisco saw growth in their Facebook community and found it an effective channel to interact directly with candidates in a way email and job boards did not allow.
