  1. NSPCC The NSPCC was founded in 1884 by the Reverend Benjamin Waugh. Since then its aim is to protect children from cruelty and to support vulnerable families. The NSPCC focus their work effectively to make the biggest impact in ending cruelty to children. They have 26 new programmes that focus on children who suffer with neglect, sexual abuse, physical abuse and loads more. They have child line services which is confidential and they a wide range of donations that the public can get involved with. The NSPCC have achieved a lot over the years, they have helped more than 10 million children. They have over 180 teams and services helping to protect children across England, wales, northern Ireland and the channel islands. The full stop campaign began in 1999 and since then has been the biggest success. Walkers Walkers was founded in 1948 in Leicester, by henry walker. It is a British snack food manufacture mainly operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Walkers brand offers a range of popular snacks, including Walkers potato crisps, Walkers Extra Crunchy, Quavers and Monster Munch. The Walkers range also has a selection of great tasting healthier snacks. For example, Walkers Baked which contains 70% less saturated fat than standard Walkers crisps and Sunbites, a snack which offers a third of your daily wholegrain and is 30% lower in fat than standard Walkers.
  2. Internet marketing is used to support an organisations advertising and marketing efforts. NSPCC use the internet to support their marketing efforts is by using social media, which includes Facebook, twitter and YouTube. The NSPCC use these social networking sites as part of there promotion to tell the users about their products and services. They also use Facebook and twitter pages to attract the eye of young children who may be going through something similar or who are not currently aware of the charity and the campaigns they do. They do this by posting videos, creating pages, posting the helpline numbers and links to their website. It has been said that over one in four (28%) of children aged 11-16 with a profile on a social networking site have experienced something upsetting on a social network in the last year. One of the biggest ways the NSPCC use promotion is through YouTube, they use old and recent TV ads to upload on YouTube to get peoples awareness. For example, the NSPCC put a short advertisement clip on the start of other videos to attract a wide range of viewers. This is a good way for the charity to attract a younger range of people as YouTube is one of the most popular video websites, they are more likley to attract more young people this way rather than on a TV advertisement. Another way that the NSPCC use the internet to support their marketing efforts is by using their website as a big part of the advertisement of their products, they use their website to advertise all the work they do and what campaigns they are currently running. They also use their website as part of their process to get people to sign up to give donations to the charity and to create supportive help for people going through the same situation. The NSPCC put their helpline number on their website for people to ring up the childline, without people ringing up their helplines VIA the website the organisation would have no sales or business. The people who phone up are the most important part of the charity. It is the charities job to create customer service and help.
  3. One of the trends impacting the NSPCC internet marketing is the current coming social media changes. Over half the population rely on their social media apps such as Facebook and twitter. It is important that the NSPCC keep up to date with these social networking site to interact with their consumers. A majority of Facebook notice more branding on their news feed than anything else. Now a days people don’t look up organisations like the NSPCC they see it through a image on these sites. As social media is becoming one of the biggest ways for businesses to used internet market, the NSPCC need to use these ways to interact directly with consumers. Another trends impacting NSPCC’s internet marketing in the rise in cyber security. The NSPCCA cant just post anything they want on their website or to social media because of the security. It affects there marketing as the charity is such a big impact to many peoples life it is hard for them to get the big message across to people who may be going through the same situation. Young people will have all sorts of security, which means it is hard for them to access things about such a serious matters, so it is hard for the NSPCC to get the message across to these young people with all this cyber security.
  4. One of the ways walkers use the internet to support their marketing efforts is by using their own website. Walkers use their website as one of the main parts of there promotion for their recent vote campaign. This campaign has received a widespread recognition from the advertising industry for the innovative and interactive way to reached consumers. Walkers have used this way of internet marketing to give a reason for their customers to come back to keep voting. The best way for a organisation like this to reach out to the consumers is to get them involved. Walkers have also used social media such as Facebook and twitter, they have used this type of internet marketing to reach out to their target audience to sell on their promotion through Facebook and twitter pages. Another way that walkers use promotion to sell their product is through YouTube advertisement. This effectively targets the right group of people with the right product and service. Once people have seen a advertisement for walkers new campaign it will instantly stick in there mind. Young people who use YouTube are going to see it and want to get involved as its going to be them buying the product. One of the ways that walkers also used internet marketing is by the online games. They use their product as a way of getting people to go online and play the game. They give you a code in your packet of crisps which allows you to win on a game.
  5. One the trends impacting walkers internet marketing is the big replacement of text into videos. For walkers to provide to their customers needs they need to spend more money on creating advertisement rather than text. For example, everyone using social media don’t look at the brand unless there is a video or a photo uploaded, as soon as they see a bit of text they delete it from their news feed. They need to focus more on the up current technology and apps that their consumers are using. A good way that walkers have already replaces videos for text is on their website. Currently their website has just got their vote campaign and not much writing, this is what attracts their customers. Another trend impacting walkers internet marketing is their current global competitors. They need to keep an eye on what how their competitors are using internet marketing to stand out to there customers. Other companies may have more money and better marketing structure than walkers that can impact on the way they can use internet marketing. They also may have better technology.
