A trip to the moon was a french silent film directed by george melies. The film is
about a group of people who travel to the moon. The start of the film is them
building the rocket and as the film continues they travel to the moon and meet the
âlocalsâ.

The trip to the moon is a fictional film. At the time of shooting no one would have
travelled to the moon due to the lack of technology and knowledge. So the film
would blown some people's minds.
5. Narrative and story line
The trip to the moon is a silent film. Not a single actor said a word throughout the
whole film. Also the film was based on a group of people who travelled to the
moon. When arrival, they met people who was already living there. They wasn't
welcome.
Once the people living on the moon found out a rocket crashed on the moon. They
went and tried to attack the visitors. George melies used special effects when the
people living on the moon was shooting guns at the visitors. He used smoke
bombs to make it look like bullets was being fired.
