This is an mixed documentary as it includes
archive footage and photographs of the bands
involved in the documentary as well as
interview footage of the bands and celebrity's
talking about the photographer.
4. Narrative Structure:
Beginning: At the beginning of the documentary
we find out about the photographer and his
involvement with Punk music in the 50’s and 60’s.
Middle: Towards the middle of the documentary
we see his views on Punk music and what was
memorable to him as a photographer.
End: Towards the end of documentary we find out
that the photographer starts to not enjoy
photography as he starts to not like new punk
bands and why he quit when bands started to
break up.
5. Camera Work:
Medium close ups are used in this
documentary when recording interviews.
6. Mise-en-scene:
The interviews in this documentary are filmed
in relevant locations such as the Blondie
interview was filmed in an recording studio.
Also archive footage of photographs show the
bands developing and memorable moments
for the photographer.
7. Sound:
Diegetic audio of interviews is used aswell as
Non-diegetic music in the background of
relevant bands music.
Narration isn't used in this documentary as all
the dialogue is from the photographer.
8. Editing:
Simple effects and transitions are used in this
documentary such as fades.
Effects where also used on photographs such
as zooms.
9. Archive Material:
Archive material in this documentary include photographs
and video footage of band playing in bars and pubs as well
as photographs from the photographer.
10. Graphics:
The graphics in this documentary include
simple white text to show interviewees names.
A simple font style was used for the title of the
documentary.
