2. Shot 1
In this the shot the first thriller convention that
is noticed is the dark setting, it gives the
opening a creepy feel to it right from the
beginning keeping the audience interested and
engaged.

3. Shot 2
In the second shot of the opening the dark
setting still kicks in however with a tinge of red
in the background, possibly portraying blood
and make the audience exciting to watch the
full film.

4. Shot 3
The dark setting has turned more into a grey
setting now which creates a gloomy feeling to the
opening there is also white writing which stands
out obviously for the audience to recognize.

5. Shot 4
Even though this shot is not very clear it is obvious
that there is a big thick trail of red blood pouring onto
the machinery which forces the audience to think is
there a villain in this film that might be killing people?
Another convention of thriller films.

6. Shot 5
The bold red writing stands out so much on the
black dark background, the font is also quite old
looking maybe to portray that the film is a period
film, as it is based on a barber from many years
ago!

7. Shot 6
Again the setting is still dark as it is all the way
through the opening of the film keeping that
tension and creepy-ness built up within it, The
blood red meat coming out of the machinery
would suggest that the blood in the previous slide
is definitely linked to the meat.

8. Shot 7
Next to the pies straight away you can see the small trail
of blood linking the 3 shots together of the blood the
meat and the pies, forcing the audience to believe that
the pies have human meat in them. Which will of course
freak the audience out but keeping them interested at
the same time!

9. Shot 8
Even though the shot is quite dark you can still see
how the setting is grim and grimy looking creating
suspense to the audience as they want to know
where it is and what's happening down
there, another convention of thriller films.

10. Shot 9
The image of the red blood running into the
river, makes the audience think that whoever this
person is possibly the villian is trying to dispose of the
evidence of what they have done, creating mystery for
the audience as they want to find out whats
happening!!
