ELECTRONIC DEVICES: - Students are not to bring electronic devices such as radios,
   ipods, tapes or C.D. players, headphones, televisions or laser pointers to school unless receiving
    prior approval from the school administration. Loss or theft of such items brought to school will not be
    investigated by school personnel.
Consequences:
a) School discipline
b) Short-term suspension
c) Long-term suspension
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICES: - Students are discouraged from bringing any type of
    electronic communication devices to school such as beepers, pagers, or cellular telephones. Possession of
    such devices will not constitute a violation, however, should one of these devices buzz, beep, ring, or cause
    any other substantial disruption or interference within the classroom or learning environment the device will
    be confiscated and the following sequential consequences will be imposed.
Consequences:
*Procedures:

1st offense – phone confiscated by teacher and returned to student at end of the school day
2nd offense – phone confiscated by teacher, turned in to office and returned to parent at end     of the
    school day (from office)
3rd offense – consequence such as Friday      School or suspension may result.
ATTENDANCE
40% OF YOUR GRADE
Physical Education classes are totally dependant upon attendance
in class.
Physical Education classes are not dependant upon lectures,
discussions, or written assignments or tests as major instructional
tools but are dependant upon active physical involvement in daily
classroom activities.
ATTENDANCE IS VITAL!!
Attendance is a major component of the student’s semester grade.
It will weigh heavily in the final outcome of the student’s grade.
In addition, a NONSUIT that is unexcused will be counted against
your attendance grade as an unexcused day that
CAN NOT BE MADE UP.
Any excused absences or non suits can be made up by making
arrangements with the instructor. The following grade scale will be
used to determine your attendance grade:
RAINIER RUN
RAINIER RUNS: 20% OF YOUR SEMESTER GRD.
Every Tuesday and Thursday all the PE classes will
be involved in a run/walk program.
Grading will be based on total accumulation of miles
during the semester.
Possibility of earning Certificate for Portfolio

TESTING & PARTICIPATION
20 % OF YOUR GRADE is TESTS & EVALUATION:
Testing will occur in three different areas:
   Fitness Tests (Mile, Max Lift, Aerobic, Sit Reach, Sit Ups, Step Ups, Cone)
   Skills Tests (Team Sports, Fundamental Skills)
   Written Tests (Rules Tests, Safety & Worksheets)

20% OF YOUR GRADE is DAILY PARTICIPATION:
Every student will be graded on:
   Daily participation.
   Active involvement
   Cooperation, sportsmanship
   Intensity, completion of assignments will be evaluated on a daily basis.
CITIZENSHIP: Disruption of the learning process in any way, shape, or
form will not be tolerated and will be dealt with in accordance to the
WHS Personal Management Plan. The behavior expectations of all
students is clearly outlined in the student handbook and will be enforced
consistently and regularly.
MAKE UP DAY = Open Gym
*MAKE UPS:
The student will be required to run one mile for
each day that needs to be made up.
  1 Absence
  Arrangements must be made by the student with the
  instructor and the student will have all semester to
  make up the days.

   If the make up work is not completed by the
  designated time, all the days that are not made up will
  be held against the student’s grade.
ABSENCES EXCUSED BY THE OFFICE:
These days will be counted as excused
absences and are still required to be made up in
             1 Mile
order to not impact your semester grade.
Procedures & Expectations
Students will:
ENTER the gym through the outside locker room doors
    BOYS/GIRLS. Not through the foyer entrance.
SUIT-UP inside the locker room ONLY.
SECURE all belongings inside your personal PE locker.
WAIT patiently inside the locker room until you’re
    DISMISSED into the gym.
REPORT to their PE classroom area
    (Weight RM, Auxiliary Gym or Main Gym)
                    Post Class Procedure
CHANGE back into school clothes
SECURE all belongings inside your personal PE locker.
WAIT patiently in the locker room until you’re excused to leave
   the locker room.
10/10 RULE:
     ( WAIT IN LOCKER ROOM UNTIL BELL RINGS)

Examples: (Ipods, Cell phones, MP3, CD players etc.) ELECTRONICS STUDENT HANDBOOK ELECTRONIC DEVICES: - Students are not to bring electronic devices such as radios, ipods, tapes or C.D. players, headphones, televisions or laser pointers to school unless receiving prior approval from the school administration. Loss or theft of such items brought to school will not be investigated by school personnel. Consequences: a) School discipline b) Short-term suspension c) Long-term suspension ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICES: - Students are discouraged from bringing any type of electronic communication devices to school such as beepers, pagers, or cellular telephones. Possession of such devices will not constitute a violation, however, should one of these devices buzz, beep, ring, or cause any other substantial disruption or interference within the classroom or learning environment the device will be confiscated and the following sequential consequences will be imposed. Consequences: *Procedures: 1st offense – phone confiscated by teacher and returned to student at end of the school day 2nd offense – phone confiscated by teacher, turned in to office and returned to parent at end of the school day (from office) 3rd offense – consequence such as Friday School or suspension may result.
  • 24. ATTENDANCE 40% OF YOUR GRADE Physical Education classes are totally dependant upon attendance in class. Physical Education classes are not dependant upon lectures, discussions, or written assignments or tests as major instructional tools but are dependant upon active physical involvement in daily classroom activities. ATTENDANCE IS VITAL!! Attendance is a major component of the student’s semester grade. It will weigh heavily in the final outcome of the student’s grade. In addition, a NONSUIT that is unexcused will be counted against your attendance grade as an unexcused day that CAN NOT BE MADE UP. Any excused absences or non suits can be made up by making arrangements with the instructor. The following grade scale will be used to determine your attendance grade:
  • 25. RAINIER RUN RAINIER RUNS: 20% OF YOUR SEMESTER GRD. Every Tuesday and Thursday all the PE classes will be involved in a run/walk program. Grading will be based on total accumulation of miles during the semester. TESTING & PARTICIPATION 20 % OF YOUR GRADE is TESTS & EVALUATION: Testing will occur in three different areas: Fitness Tests (Mile, Max Lift, Aerobic, Sit Reach, Sit Ups, Step Ups, Cone) Skills Tests (Team Sports, Fundamental Skills) Written Tests (Rules Tests, Safety & Worksheets) 20% OF YOUR GRADE is DAILY PARTICIPATION: Every student will be graded on: Daily participation. Active involvement Cooperation, sportsmanship Intensity, completion of assignments will be evaluated on a daily basis. CITIZENSHIP: Disruption of the learning process in any way, shape, or form will not be tolerated and will be dealt with in accordance to the WHS Personal Management Plan. The behavior expectations of all students is clearly outlined in the student handbook and will be enforced consistently and regularly.

MAKE UP DAY = Open Gym *MAKE UPS: The student will be required to run one mile for each day that needs to be made up. 1 Absence Arrangements must be made by the student with the instructor and the student will have all semester to make up the days. = If the make up work is not completed by the designated time, all the days that are not made up will be held against the student’s grade. ABSENCES EXCUSED BY THE OFFICE: These days will be counted as excused absences and are still required to be made up in 1 Mile order to not impact your semester grade.
  • 28. Procedures & Expectations Students will: ENTER the gym through the outside locker room doors BOYS/GIRLS. Not through the foyer entrance. SUIT-UP inside the locker room ONLY. SECURE all belongings inside your personal PE locker. WAIT patiently inside the locker room until you’re DISMISSED into the gym. REPORT to their PE classroom area (Weight RM, Auxiliary Gym or Main Gym) Post Class Procedure CHANGE back into school clothes SECURE all belongings inside your personal PE locker. WAIT patiently in the locker room until you’re excused to leave the locker room. 10/10 RULE: ( WAIT IN LOCKER ROOM UNTIL BELL RINGS)
