FOCUS : Listening
CONTENT STANDARD
Complimentary CS
: 1.1 Recognise and reproduce target language sounds.
3.1 Recognise words in linear and non-linear texts by using knowledge of
sounds of letters.
LEARNING STANDARD
Complimentary LS
: 1.1.1 Recognise and reproduce with support a limited range of high frequency
target language phonemes.
3.1.2 Recognise and sound out with support beginning, medial and final sounds
in a word.
3.1.3 Blend phonemes (CVC, CCVC)
3.1.4 Segment phonemes.
OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;
1. Say aloud given words correctly.
2. Blend and segmenting phonemes correctly with guidance.
ACTIVITY : 1. Listen and say aloud correctly(with guidance)
 Pupils listen to the sound ( by teacher ) and say aloud words correctly.
 Keep repeating every single word in a correct pronounce.
- ear, hear, year, gear, air, chair, hair, pair, etc.
 Get some pupils to pronounce any words pointed by teacher.
2. Group work( worksheet )
 Match picture to correct word.
 Write the correct word for each picture.
 Circle and colour the correct words.
 Teacher read the sound, pupils are ask to form words.
3. Individual work
 Pupils write words in neat and correct spelling onto their exercise book.
 Write some phonemes using iThink Map (with guidance )

5. Teacher then asks pupils to listthe words correctly in the table.

Daily lesson plan week 2 / day 1 - 3

Daily Lesson Plan English Language Year 2 Week 2 Day 1(Phonics) DAY : Monday CLASS : Year 2 TIME : 8.00 – 9.30am DATE : 7.1.2019 TOPIC : UNIT : 19 We are the Big Boys THEME : World of Self, Family and Friends FOCUS : Listening CONTENT STANDARD Complimentary CS : 1.1 Recognise and reproduce target language sounds. 3.1 Recognise words in linear and non-linear texts by using knowledge of sounds of letters. LEARNING STANDARD Complimentary LS : 1.1.1 Recognise and reproduce with support a limited range of high frequency target language phonemes. 3.1.2 Recognise and sound out with support beginning, medial and final sounds in a word. 3.1.3 Blend phonemes (CVC, CCVC) 3.1.4 Segment phonemes. OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to; 1. Say aloud given words correctly. 2. Blend and segmenting phonemes correctly with guidance. ACTIVITY : 1. Listen and say aloud correctly(with guidance)  Pupils listen to the sound ( by teacher ) and say aloud words correctly.  Keep repeating every single word in a correct pronounce. - ear, hear, year, gear, air, chair, hair, pair, etc.  Get some pupils to pronounce any words pointed by teacher. 2. Group work( worksheet )  Match picture to correct word.  Write the correct word for each picture.  Circle and colour the correct words.  Teacher read the sound, pupils are ask to form words. 3. Individual work  Pupils write words in neat and correct spelling onto their exercise book.  Write some phonemes using iThink Map (with guidance ) TEACHING AIDS : Non-textbook, blackboard, flashcards, LCD projector, laptop CCE/EE : Multiple Intelligences MORAL VALUES : Hardworking, awareness EMK : Creative and innovative REFLECTION : Attendance:_____/______ _________ pupils were able to achieve the objectives. _________ pupils were able to answer the questions correctly. _________ pupils need extra guidance. _________ pupils were able to master today’s lesson. LEARNING STANDARD Complimentary LS : 1.1.1 Recognise and reproduce with support a limited range of high frequency target language phonemes. 3.1.1 Identify and recognize the shapes of the letters in the alphabet. 3.1.2 Recognise and sound out with support beginning, medial and final sounds in a word. 3.1.3 Blend phonemes (CVC, CCVC) 3.1.4 Segment phonemes.
