1. General Member Meeting Minutes
11-15-12
Thank you to everyone who came to the letter writing event! It was a great turn out. The letters will be sent out
before Thanksgiving!
Fundraiser: Bring those pop cans in at the next meeting to get your fundraising point! We are asking for $5 worth of
cans or the slips (preferable slips from WalMart or Meijer)
Social: Thank you for coming to the social today. There are no more for this semester, but will start to think about ideas
for next semester. Suggestions are encouraged!
SGA: There is a Winter Festival taking place on December 3rd at 6:00pm. It is a formal for all students. It will take place
on East Campus. More information to follow.
Tentatively a “Slut Walk” is being scheduled for this coming April, put on by SAPA. It is a notion to get rid of the negative
connotation connected with the label slut. Google “Slut walk in California” for more information. More information will
also be provided as this event gets closer.
Community Service: You can still volunteer at the Soup Kitchen, just call ahead. Also we are
We are also beginning to collect items to donate to the humane society. They need several things at all times. We are
going to start collecting now and turn everything in next semester so we can have many things to offer at once. Here is

Secretary: I have attached a sheet of current points and the point system again. We have a couple active members and
even a Silver Member already - way to go! Keep in mind that we have 1 meeting left and you can turn in pop cans for a
