Jesus tells the people that he is the light of the world and that whoever follows him will never walk in darkness. The Pharisees challenge his testimony, but Jesus says his testimony is valid because he knows where he came from and where he is going. He says he judges rightly because he does nothing on his own but speaks what the Father has taught him. Jesus says that when he is lifted up, the people will know that he speaks what the Father has taught him. Many people put their faith in Jesus as he spoke.
