INSTRUCTIONS
EXAMPLE: 1 
As it can be seen in the example, the instruction is clear 
and correct. It consists of just two sentences, and it 
includes example, so students can understand easily 
what should they do. In addition to this, instruction is 
suitable in terms of students’ level. (intermediate)
EXAMPLE 2: 
In this example, instruction is short and not clear. It said that 
read and listen to the breakfast conversation. Whether any 
responsibility is given to the students or not is uncertain. In 
other words, after reading and listening “what student should 
do “ is unknown. If there isn’t any responsibility for student 
rather from reading and listening, it isn’t suitable for students’ 
level.
EXAMPLE:3 
In this example, instruction is clear, but it is a bit long, it is 
more than two sentences , so this is a disadvantage for 
students. There is unnecessary information. On the other 
hand, students can understand the instruction easily. 
Furthermore , the instruction is supported by example.
EXAMPLE 4: 
In this example, the instruction isn’t good. It includes 
unnecessary information. For example, the explanation of 
The Seven Wonders of the World is redundant. Students 
have already known The Seven Wonders of the World . I 
think, the instruction should be given in this example as: 
“match each picture in the box with its name”
EXAMPLE 5: 
In this example, the instruction is too long, and it gives so 
many tasks to the students. On the other hand, the instruction 
is clear and understandable. Furtermore, this is a writing 
activity , so students can understand their task easily.
EXAMPLE 6: 
In this example, the instruction is clear and suitable for students’level. 
Students understand their tasks and complete the activities by 
means of clear instruction. It is a bit long but this is listening and 
speaking activities, so the instruction can include much more 
question or information.
EXAMPLE 7: 
In this example, the instruction is perfect. It consists of 
two sentences and it is clear. It is suitable with the level.
EXAMPLE 8: 
In this example, the instruction is perfect and clear. It isn’t too 
long. The instruction is given shortly but in understandable 
way, so this help student’ comprehension. In addition to this, 
the example also makes the instruction much more 
comprehensible.
EXAMPLE 9: 
In this example, the instruction is perfect. Firsty the task is 
determined then the instruction tells us that what should be 
done. Furthermore, significant part in the instruction is 
underlined, so this engage student’s attention.
EXAMPLE 10: 
In this example, the instruction is perfect. It tells the activity 
clearly. Abbreviations are used and instruction tells us the 
meaning of the letters, so student understands who they are.
