The Scottish Information Literacy Project aims to create an information literate Scotland by developing a national framework and working with partners across various sectors. It began in 2003 with a project exploring ICT skills in deprived areas. Current objectives include further developing the framework to encompass early years, workplace, and lifelong learning. Recent work includes case studies of good practices in schools, developing learning materials for teachers, and establishing relationships with organizations to promote information literacy training. Moving forward, the project seeks to engage more learners, embed information literacy in various contexts, and gain further support from government agencies.
