2. New phones?
• We are replacing our seven year old system
• The new system and all phones are here on
site
• We’re just finishing the setup
• The new system will go live late this week
or early next
3. What do I need to do?
• Expect a new phone on your desk or in
your workroom
• Keep using your old phone until we advise
otherwise
• Look out for updates posted in the Moodle
News and Announcements forum
7. Phone Contacts
• Press the Directory soft-button to access
the College directory of contacts
• Follow on-screen prompts to browse the
list and call contacts
8. Making a Call
• Pick up the handset
or
• press the Speaker button
• Dial 9 if you need an outside line
• Dial the external or extension number
9. Answering a Call
• Pick up the handset
or
• Press the Speaker button to answer hands-
free
10. Mute
• Press the X button to mute the
microphone
• Press the X button again to re-enable the
microphone
11. Hold
• Press the Hold soft-button to place a caller
on hold
• Press the Hold soft button again to resume
the call
12. Ending a Call
• Replace the handset
or
• Press the Speaker button if you were talking
hands-free
13. Voicemail
• Sign in by pressing **1
• Follow the audio prompts
• Press 1 to listen to your* messages
• Sign out by pressing **2
*messages are yours and yours alone - you have your own
voice mailbox!
