CHOSEN STATION NAME
We chose the name ‘Radio NEar’ you because it signifies that it’s a local radio
station. The capital ‘N’ and ‘E’ in the near represents ‘North East’ the location
of our radio station.
DEMOGRAPHICS
• Age: We are aiming our radio station at adults young and old from around
the ages of 25 to 50. We think this will be the average age range because
the station will mainly be for information purposes and not music etc.
• Gender: We think the gender will be both male and females because their
will be a mix of news stories.
• Nationality: The nationality will be mainly British because it is a local radio
station. However the station will also be used by tourists who are visiting the
tourist area and wanting to find out what is going on why they are there.
There is also a large Polish community in the N.E. so they will also be listening
to the radio to find out the latest information in the N.E. area.
GEO DEMOGRAPHICS
• The Geo demographics of our radio station will be Regional because the
Station will be providing local information to the N.E. Lincs area.
PSYCHOGRAPHICS
• The interests of our target audience would be people who enjoy attending
local events to support their area and who have an interest in the future of
their Towns. Their personality would be friendly and outgoing who enjoy
meeting new people and enjoy meeting new people and supporting their
community and finding people with the same interests.
SOCIAL CLASS OF THE LISTENER
• The social class of the listeners would be very mixed due to the variety of
information given from future job opportunities to upcoming events in the
local area. The socio-economic group of the target audience would fall into
C2DE, We think this because listeners would be tuning in for different reasons
such as to find a new job or to go out for the week.
