D.I.V.A. Wisdom Presents: Diva Don’t Get Played Tour 2011
Helping Colleges and Universities One Relationship At A Time!
DIVA WISDOM is a non-profit organization with a goal to help prevent and end single parenting and teen pregnancy by educating and encouraging women to make wise relationship choices and to remain open to new and healthy relationships that ultimately lead to marriage. In addition, we empower women to make wise life choices that will help to decrease potential exposure to HIV and Aids. DIVA WISDOM is dedicated to creating educational programs, seminars and conferences that teach how to attract and strengthen relationships before and after marriage so to decrease the number of fatherless households and their negative effects. Who We Are
One of the educational programs (DW) offers is The ‘DIVA Don’t Get Played!” Tour. This seminar is a non-religious presentation that teaches women how to attract and keep a healthy relationship using the mind-body-spirit approach to dating. We take a unique and innovative approach to teaching that helps women connect and be inspired to make healthy relationship choices in the future. Through personalized and focused teaching processes, the use of scientifically proven NLP techniques and the Law of Attraction principles, our audience is able to develop the tools they need for ongoing success in their relationships. Our success depends on our attention to the needs of our clients and truly helping them achieve their personal relationship goals - we don't succeed unless our clients succeed. DIVA University
The goal of the program is to first help transform these young women into a D.I.V.A. A D.I.V.A is a woman who recognizes that she is Divine, Intelligent, Vivacious and A challenge and it is dating and interacting with young men as this type of woman that increases the probability of attracting a quality mate and making wise dating and relationship choices that eventually lead to marriage. This program is designed to provide single college students an educational road map to healing past pains, false beliefs and barriers that stand in the way of attracting a healthy relationship. In addition, it teaches each student how to identify a quality partner and maintain a healthy relationship that eventually leads to marriage. Our Goals
About Shay Williams-Garrett Also know as ‘Shay Your Date Diva’ Shay Williams-Garrett graduated from Florida State University pre-medicine biology with a goal to become a surgeon but entered pharmaceutical sales instead.  It was here that she developed a gift of influencing others to reveal some of their most personal information.
She is the author of two books entitled “Mommy D.I.V.A Don’t Get Played!” and “D.I.V.A Don’t Get Played!” Over 2,000 copies of her books have already been sold and Shay has appeared on several national radios and TV shows, and has even signed a hold agreement and recorded a teaser with a major production company for a national reality show to compete with the Millionaire Matchmaker.   Shay is a column writer for several well-known magazines and has provided supporting content that was featured in the Essence Magazine. The Success of Shay Williams-Garrett
Shay Garrett is happily married with four children and also known as "Shay Your Date Diva" to her fans, is a writer, speaker and relationship coach who is passionate about helping to empower women of all ages to not settle for less than the love experience they deserve. After one heartbreak after another, she decided to go on a journey to uncover the secrets of understanding men, the art of dating and what it takes to attract the right man. This research paid off because after launching her experiment of dating over 100 men within nine months, reading over 60 relationship books and interviewing thousands of men, women and couples, Shay discovered that there are common patterns in male-female relationship that either lead to a happy, healthy relationship or a relationship of pain. About Shay Williams-Garrett
She has interviewed on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and on Atlanta’s #1 urban radio station, V103 and was also featured on Jacque Reid's "This Woman's Work" page. She appeared on The Soul Train Awards to present to a world renown-recording artist. About Shay Williams-Garrett
The lack of relationship education is leading to unplanned pregnancies on your campuses. Unplanned pregnancies on campus is leading to single parenting, abortions and college student drop outs. College students are making poor relationship choices that is leading to STD and HIV infection. Why Your students Need Our tour:
The majority of new STD infections occur in individuals between the ages of 15 and 30 [the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.] The first large study to determine the rate of AIDS infection on collegecampuses found that about one in 500 students was infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) About 25,000 of the country's 12.5 million college students are infected with the virus, [Richard P. Keeling, director of student health services at the University of Virginia and president of the American College Health Association.] STD and HIV infection on college campuses
7 in 10 pregnancies among single women in their 20s are unplanned.  Many of these women attend community colleges and are at risk for dropping out or failing to earn a degree. 61% of women who have children after enrolling in community college don’t finish their education—a rate 65% higher than the rate for those who don’t have children. UNPLANNED PREGNANCY ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES
According to the Assorted and non-inclusive statistics on motherhood from the U.S. Census Bureau 14.1% of abortions are a result of the mother having relationship problem or has a partner who does not want the pregnancy. At least 50% of these abortions could be prevented if these women had relationship education.     Abortions
Most of these students are not married which leads to the probability that these students, once pregnant will end up a statistic of single parenting. Single Parent College Students
Young children living with unmarried mothers were five times as likely to be poor and ten times as likely to be extremely poor.  In addition, 72% of adolescent murderers and 60% of America's rapists grew up without fathers. The proportion of single parent households in a community predicts its rate of violent crime and burglary. (Source: D.A. Smith and G.R. Jarjoura, "Social Structure and Criminal Victimization”). According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, some women have become infected through sexual contact with bisexual men – men on the down low. Single parent household Facts
African American women cannot afford to give up on love, the idea of marriage and continue to maintain the current 72% single rate nor can they continue to make poor relationship choices that are leading to contracting HIV. According to the Bureau of the Census, 63% of youth suicides, 71% of all high school dropouts, and 70% of juveniles in state operated institutions comefrom fatherless homes.   In 2006, 12.9 million families in the U.S. were headed by a single parent, 80% of which were headed by a female.   Single parenthousehold Facts
The major issue facing single mothers and their children in the United States today is Poverty. Female-headed single parent families comprise 50% of all families in poverty (U.S. Bureau of the Census, 1979). More than 20 percent of single-mothers start on welfare because they have an out-of-wedlock birth, [Health and Human Services, "Indicators of Welfare Dependence: Annual Report to Congress, 2008," p. II-33.]   Economic disadvantage of single parent households
State and federal governments spent an estimated $9-billion between 2003 and 2008 on students who dropped out of college during their freshman year. ECONOMIC Disadvantage OF college drop outs
Statistics show in the U.S. Census Bureau that children raised by both parents grow up with more financial and educational advantages. 70 percent of poor single mothers would no longer be in poverty if they married their children's father (or became married.) [Robert Rector, Heritage Foundation, Testimony before the Subcommittee on Human Resources of the House Committee on Ways and Means, February 10, 2005.] BENEFITS OF Single Parent prevention
More likely to attend college More likely to succeed academically More likely to experience good health and safety More likely to be emotionally healthier Less likely to attempt or commit suicide Less likely to demonstrate less behavioral problems in school Less likely to be a victim of physical or sexual abuse Less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol Less likely to commit delinquent behaviors Less likely to become pregnant as a teenager, or impregnate someone. Benefits to children living in environments with both parents.
The total savings from preventing unplanned pregnancies, increasing the marriage rate of single mothers and single women over an expected lifetime of 50 years, would be over $674 million. The beneficial effects of dating and relationship education would reduce the number of single parent households by 5,490 per year, saving Georgia citizens about $13.5 million per year by increasing tax revenue, decreasing Medicaid, public assistance and incarceration costs. BENEFITS OF RELATIONSHIP COACHING TO THE CITY
The majority of the competition comes from relationship coaching conducted by psychologist, relationship enthusiast and religious based programs taught by churches and individuals with specific expertise in maintaining healthy marriages. These programs, however, fail to address how to help a single college woman remain open to getting married in the future and learn dating behaviors that can prevent them from future unplanned pregnancies, HIV infection and heartbreak that can lead to emotional resistance to long term relationships. Why Book The ‘DIVA Don’t Get Played Tour!’
Over time, Shay Williams-Garrett has developed a repertoire of examples and approaches to help students with nearly all of the challenges that prevent them from getting the most out of love, dating and relationships. As an example, many coaches will give their clients dating advice that will superficially address how to date such as not to have sex on the first date. The student will go away knowing that her coach believes that it is not a good idea to have sex on the first date but if it happens then this is alright because this guy may be ‘the one’ and the chemistry on the first date was really strong. The ‘DIVA Don’t Get Played Tour!’
Few programs have the resources to provide a comprehensive relationship-coaching program covering every possible aspect of relationships and dating challenges from understanding human behavior motivated by biochemical triggers, to learning how to make healthy choices in love, dating and relationships. There is no organized relationship coaching service available to colleges that really covers healthy dating behavior from soup to nuts. The ‘DIVA Don’t Get Played Tour!’
Students are introduced to the idea that not only is it a bad idea to have sex on the first date, no matter how strong the chemistry but that there is a biochemical reason why it would be disadvantageous to do so. Shay would first help each student create a ‘why’ or road map big enough to subconsciously motivate them to follow the advice and do what it takes to attract what they want in love dating and relationships. Using vivid stories and examples, she would explain that as women have sex, they release a bonding chemical called oxytocin that cause women to bond or become addicted to their partners which makes falling for a bad choice more likely. She also shares the biological process in a man that causes him to push away from an unsuspecting woman if in fact she falls victim to her emotions and has sex with him too soon. Shay Williams-Garrett's approach is different.
Using NLP and other empowering techniques throughout the relationship coaching process helps to place the student’s behavior on autopilot towards implementing what they have learned without significant mental resistance. This is just one technique that has been developed successfully over several years that sets Shay Williams-Garrett's relationship coaching sessions apart from other options. Empowering techniques that work!
Seminar hosted by an author of two relationship books who dated over 100 men to discover and test her theories. Shay was a single mother who used her own techniques, advice and wisdom to attract the man of her dreams in less than 30 days. Shay uses alarming, interesting and colorful examples, stories and advice that hit home and induces a change in behavior. Competitive Edge
Finally, the seminar is differentiated from competitors by the quality of Shay Williams-Garrett's teachings, the use of NLP and The Law of Attraction principles as well as humor. She is fun, energetic, and has a certain stage presence that makes it interesting to attend her seminars. Moreover, her personalized attention focuses on the specific needs of her audience. Shay Williams-Garrett understands that different people learn in different ways, so seminars are taught on various levels. Power point and other visual aids are employed whenever possible to reach those who learn visually. Explanations are thorough for the audio learners. Group activities and breakout sessions are employed that gives students a good deal of hands-on time during the session so they can learn by doing. Quality of Shay Williams-Garrett's Teachings
Shay has a 75% success rate of all women who desire change in the dating patterns and relationship choices Over 2000 women have read or purchased Shay’s books A product line of educational materials to assist women on their journey to a successful relationship are available Testimonies reveal Shay’s teachings has inspired not only singles, but marriages as well Shay has 100’s of testimonies how her advice has allowed women to change their relationship lives for the better and that they are making better relationship choices Shay’s success rate is so high and recommendations are so strong that she has received an offer to film her own reality show next fall Shay offers platinum coaching services to high-end clientele and celebrities who pay $5,000 to $25,000 to receive her one-on-one coaching advice. Shay Williams-Garrett success rate
By the end of the seminar, the student’s level of confidence, self awareness and understanding of successful relationships will be significantly stronger resulting in a decrease in unplanned pregnancy, HIV infection and poor relationship choices After the course, each student will have a high likelihood to view marriage as a necessity thus decreasing the probability of a single parent household Shay travels to college campuses and universities when booked. Seminar Outcome
Cost: Cost to book Shay is $3500 plus travel and hotel. This is a minimum cost when you consider the benefits! Total cost is not to exceed $4000.
We look forward to working with you to transform your students’ love life and future one relationship at a time!
