1. The
Rat Race

2. It’s a rat race
What a pace, for those in the chase
Chasing after the wind, no time to unwind
Is it a choice, with strange forces behind?
Are rats and mice of the same kind?
No race no rice
More race, more rice, no time to do the munch
It’s about the stomach, does it store much?
The race is unstoppable, till we are six feet under
We know we are capable, life is full of wonder

3. We race for now;
We race for future generations to come
Like a mirage at hand, it is a hope-filled life
The image of a sea we see, always disappears in
sight
Voices of the sages, no sweat, no sweet
Wisdom of ages, only learnt in hindsight
We cannot race in cages; all must be freed to race
The battle rages, indeed for rodents in need
This can be fatal, we should not guess lest we fall
Let us labour with love, yet within the tall hedges

4. Is the race painful?
Labour is gainful, as it opens new pages of life
Rats bear much rodentiles, no stress no strife
This game is truly fair, let us pass the baton
We must change gears, as we strive in the journey
No retreat no surrender,
This is a race to win, for we compete with ourselves
Let us pose for a treat; rodents best are in the shelves
Rats rose with potency, with sheaves at the tape
This is a great race, of the rodents of the world
