3. Qualifications:
• Rising senior nursing student
• Current enrollment in an accredited (RN) program or new graduate
from accredited (RN) program.
• Completion of Core Nursing/Medical Surgical course and clinical
practicum.
• Grade point average 3.0/B or higher
• Able to work a minimum of 24 hours per two-week pay period
• NCLEX permit from Georgia Board of Nursing for graduate nurses
from other countries (Non US citizens must have a valid work visa permit
and/or green card)

• Two (2) letters of recommendation from instructors
• Current BLS
• Complete interview process
• Complete extern orientation

Nurse Shadow Program
Participants of the Shadow a Nurse Program are required to be enrolled in an
accredited nursing program, in their senior year of high school, or former nurses
returning to the nursing profession. The shadowing experience allows for
observation only. Each shadower must be approved by the Shadow a Nurse
Coordinator and are limited to a maximum of 12 shadowing hours.
Contact the Nurse Recruiters Office thirty (30) days prior to the anticipated
shadowing experience
• Complete the Shadow a Nurse Program Application
• Complete the Release and Waiver of Liability
• Complete the Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Statement
• Submit a copy of your current TB Skin Test Results (must be within the
last 12 months)
• Submit proof of current Influenza Vaccine (Flu Shot)
• Submit a reference from an instructoradvisorcounselormentor
• Receive and wear a visitor ID badge
• Complete the Evaluation Form at the end of the experience

Registered Professional Nurse.
Eligibility
Georgia Board of Professional Nursing documentation requiring completion of a
Re-Entry/Refresher Course.
