[object Object],This is what I used for my Anticipatory Set. I had students help me figure out the total number of stickers and show me how to write it.
[object Object],[object Object],To begin my instruction I went back over place value. I had students tell me which number stood for what and I wrote on the Smart Board the columns for what place each value is in.
[object Object],Next I had students help me add three digit numbers. I put the problems low on the board so students could come up and work out the problems for me.
Line up the numbers correctly ,[object Object],Next we went over lining up the numbers so we could add the correct digits together. Again I had the problems placed where students could reach and come up to the Smart Board and line them up.
Find the answer and tell your neighbor ,[object Object],[object Object],I ended this lesson by having students work on problems with their neighbor. I gave them time to figure out the problem and then tell their neighbor their answer. Then I chose a student to come up and do the problem for the entire class.
