1. TAKING OUT UNEMPLOYMENT
THROUGH A BETTER
UNDERSTANDING
(Project name)
100% SUCCESS
(Team name)
FROM ROMANIA
2. EXPERIENCE
Romania is ridden with unemployment. The
worst hit are youngsters; fresh graduates who
find themselves in the grip of this terrible
economic “plague”.
Unfortunately, there are other concerning
problems related to young people, like small
salaries, and an obsolete public education
system which is on the verge of collapse.
In these circumstances, the brain-drain
phenomenon, offers relief to the most intelligent
and talented young people, who deserve a
better country, offering a decent standard of
living.
3. DISCOVER
There are several causes to this problem:
1) Poor education (lack of economic judgment)
2) Poor allocation of resources;
3) Poor correlation between birth rate and job
creation rate.
4) Poor public policy, incompetence and
corruption (most of high ranking dignitaries are
remnants of the communist regime, sometimes
direct descendants of communist party
activists)
4. DISCOVER
Creating jobs requires hefty financing, but
unfortunately, people in Romania lack the
standard of living, necessary to accumulate
wealth. Savings rate is very small, thus
Romania relies mostly on foreign capital.
The problem is aggravated by the fact that the
decision to have a child is not conditioned by
the existence of a high standard of education or
income. People just do not ask themselves
these questions when they are about to take
such an important decision.
5. SOLUTION
As Romania is severely affected by the
phenomenon, we made a substantiated analysis
of the causes that contribute to this
predicament.
Following our analysis, we came up with a
solution, which is very simple yet effective. The
problem is the implementation of it, as it
requires a new pattern of thought, which
requires an economic conscience, biased
towards causality, sustainability and a good
understanding of the law of supply and demand.
6. SOLUTION
Moreover, this solution requires a flexible
thought unbound by
preconceptions, traditions or other fixed
ideas that are considered as
“good”, “valuable” or “necessary”, but which
only envelop us in a fog of lies which
prevents us from taking the right steps in the
right direction, thus contributing to the
aggravation of the problem we are facing.
7. SOLUTION = BETTER UNDERSTANDING
The solution is a proper economic
education, which will give rise to an
economic conscience, that will better
rationalize and prioritize resources, in
achieving a certain purpose. We believe that
a proper economic education will enable
individuals to be aware of the consequences
of their decisions and to be able to anticipate
the evolution of the economic
environment, thus avoiding risk.
8. SOLUTION
To find a suitable solution to youth
unemployment, we must first understand that
creating jobs requires significant resources.
Unfortunately, the ones that are so eager to
have children, lack the capital required to
ensure jobs for the future young adults.
Thus, we need to turn our attention towards
a sustainable development of society, taking
into account the scarcity of resources.
9. SOLUTION
Furthermore, looking at the labor market, we
see that young people are the most exposed
to unemployment. Moreover, salaries are
very small. This phenomenon is proof that
the labor market oversaturated.
Taking this into consideration, we believe it is
time to give family planning a new meaning.
10. SOLUTION
Thus we can save lots of resources, by not
breeding the future generation of
unemployed.
Moreover, we can better use the resources
saved, by investing them in high yield
activities, while creating jobs for the
unemployed.
Thus, we can have a better society, with
smaller income discrepancies.
