The problem is global and is steadily affecting many low- and middle-income countries, particularly in urban settings. Over the last 30 years, i t has reached epidemic proportions in the world . One-third of world’s population under the age of 18 are overweight or obese , that’s t wice as many as there were in the 1980s.
