3. Black Adams
◦ The film takes us to Kahndaq, a Middle
Eastern country that once had a hero
named Teth-Adam. He was chosen to
receive the power of Shazam and free his
countrymen from a tyrannical king who
enslaved them. But the hero disappeared
and 5,000 years later, Kahndaq is
controlled by the criminal organization
Intergang. When a brave woman tries to
retrieve a mystical artifact, 'the Crown of
Sabbac', before it falls into the hands of
villains, she also awakens the hero of the
stories. But he turns out to be very
different from what the legend says.
hero or villain
Black Adam seems like a movie tied to the past. Its visual style,
the pacing of its action, and even its plot remind us of the
superhero movies of the 2000s, when the genre was still trying to
find its identity and before the MCU almost completely
dominated it. Sadly, it's not “retro” in a refreshing way, but old-
fashioned. It takes us back to a time when saturated colors and
slow-motion moments were the epitome of drama. In a way, it
feels like a Zack Snyder movie, but in the style of 300 and Sucker
Punch.
This visual paraphernalia surrounds a plot that initially seems to
focus on the difference between hero and villain from various
points of view. Unlike other superheroes, the character played by
Dwayne Johnson has no problem ending the lives of his enemies
and that puts him in direct confrontation with the members of the
Justice Society, who do not agree with his methods. .
4. closing
◦ In conclusion…
◦ the movie is good and leaves a good message and that is that we can all change, since
after the powers were given to adam he succumbed to anger, and that caused those
who gave him the power to keep him locked up, another lesson is that no matter your
status or your role in the world, "we can all be free and free ourselves from our mental
slavery"
