This document announces a book club discussing blockchain technology and its applications. It will take place over 6 weeks from June to July 2016 using Google Hangouts. Participants are encouraged to join online communities on Google+ and Flickr to discuss topics like Bitcoin, blockchain basics, and blockchain's role in education. The document provides information on hashtags and standards from ISTE relevant to computer science and technology facilitation. It also contains introductory information on blockchain, including what determines a currency's value, examples of virtual currencies, and basic explanations of Bitcoin and how blockchains work.
