The benefits of outdoor education have been lauded in scientific journals and popular magazines. Henderson International School middle school students and faculty participate in overnight Outdoor Ed trips each fall to build community, encourage self-discovery, promote growth-mindsets, and enjoy the great outdoors!

Notas do Editor
Outdoor Ed provides a great context for developing community and promoting a growth-mindset
Overarching goals of our middle school program are to develop students that: are comfortable with themselves; know who they are as learners; are positively assertive; and advocate for themselves and others. This is directly aligned with the objectives of Outdoor Ed.
