“Do you need to sell broken iPhones then have a look at our website cashforiphones, to get to know how to sell your used iPhone online. The service is friendly, professional and become one of the industry's most trusted and dependable.”
IPhone 4: Accident Prone?
In a study that included over 50,000 smartphones with their warranty programs, it was discovered that the iPhone 4 was the most reliable phone among smartphones from BlackBerry, Motorola and HTC.
centercenter00In the graph, it can be seen that the iPhone 4 garnered a 2.1% of malfunction rate with its predecessor, the iPhone 3GS that ties with Motorola, had 2.3% of malfunction rate.
It was a surprising result as the iPhone 4 faced a lot of negative responses because of a lot of issues regarding its design.
These issues, though Apple seemed to have failed in addressing them are the Antennagate, the glass gate, and the exploding iPhone 4 problems. The overall failure rate was based on a one-year scale.
In the study, Apple was hailed to be the most reliable and dependable manufacturer as they have failures and error rates with the least number in 12 months. Meaning, defects were much smaller than most smartphones included in the test.
Meanwhile, Motorola falls on the second spot with its gadgets tied up with the malfunction rates with the iPhone 3GS. Obviously, Apple is still ahead of the game considering that it has not released what was said to be the fiercest and fairest gadget of them all, the iPhone 5.
HTC came third with a one-year malfunction rate of 3.7% and BlackBerry came with 6.3% malfunction rate for a year period.
Other smartphones fared with 6.7% with reported malfunctions.
This is good news for Apple and they really have something to celebrate and most likely improve on. Though they were the most reliable among the companies mentioned, it would still be better if they are able to omit all more chances of having failures and malfunctions on their devices.
Apple should have been happy about these results.
However, it was exposed that the iPhone 4 had the most number of accident rate with about 13.8%. This made it the most accident prone device among all the smartphones. This was said to be due to the “Glassgate” issue concerning the glass panels that surround the iPhone 4.
As we can recall, Apple has now stopped the sales of their slide-on cases because it easily scratched the glass panels of the iPhone 4. Cracking, scratching and other glass-related problems are reported in association with the iPhone 4 against other smartphones.
If we are to compare the iPhone 4 to its older generation, the iPhone 3GS, it is an obvious win for the latter. This proves to show that Apple should level the beauty of their designs to the level of quality of the materials used.
Even if the iPhone had a more aesthetic appeal with its new face compared to the iPhone 3GS, the glass panels have made it more susceptible to damage caused by accidents. That is why it was expected that there will be a 13.3% of iPhone 4 users who will report about an accident regarding their device.
Apple should take this study seriously so they may be able to prevent other mistakes for their future iPhones. They must ensure that their gadgets will have lesser malfunction and accident rates that can be triggered by their own designs and accessories.
Revision on their plans and blueprints might help end any other hiccups that can actually be prevented to happen. It will take more testing and more cost but nevertheless, it will benefit the company more than they can imagine.
Following the results of the study, it can be said that if people really hated the iPhone 4 so much, then why were there reports saying that there were only few cases of gadget return? This just means that people would still use the iPhone 4 despite the problems it has caused and the glitches it has manifested.
But even so, Apple must still not overlook such updates so they can improve on their manufacturing and designing capabilities to bring iPhones that can outlast any competitor on the mobile market.
The iPhone 5
As for the iPhone 5, there’s still no official announcement from Apple about its release. Despite a lot of rumor drip about it to be released in September, Apple has kept its doors shut with all information about the new generation iPhone confidential.
Today, rumors say that the iPhone 5 will be unveiled on October. People are getting more and more impatient about knowing the real score behind its delayed release. Nonetheless, have you an idea why official statements are still wrapped with mystery?
