Carnivorous plants like the Venus flytrap are found in wet, damp places like South America and parts of North America. The Venus flytrap lures prey like insects using a sweet nectar, and when the prey touches trigger hairs inside the trap, the trap will snap shut, dissolving the prey over 5-12 days to digest it for nutrients. Once digestion is complete, the trap will reopen ready to catch more prey.

Red Dragon • If the prey touches one of the
venuses’ trigger hairs which is on the
trap, it will snap catching the prey
and will start to dissolve it turning it
into a liquid. This will go down the
stem and be used for energy and
protein in the digestive process and
will take five to twelve days.
• After a few days of digestion the trap
will re-open and be ready to start all
over again.
