6. Banded Mongoose
They’re mainly found in Bush Savanna.
It also is a sturdy mongoose with a
large head, small ears, short, muscular
limbs, and a long tail. Their rough fur
is grayish brown, and there are several
dark brown to black horizontal bars
across their back. Banded mongooses
have long strong claws that allow
them to dig in soil.
This animal is a pest in Hawaii. It is
similar to a rat for you.

Mano means shark in Hawaiian, sharks
can swim when they are sleeping,
Sharks eat fish, they don’t mean to eat
people, they only get attacked if they

The adult i’iwi bird is mostly fiery red
with black wings and tail and a long
curved salmon-colored bill used
primarily for drinking nectar. The
