2. 11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus
traveled along the border between
Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going
into a village, ten men who had leprosy
met him. They stood at a distance 13 and
called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master,
have pity on us!”
3. 14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show
yourselves to the priests.” And as they went,
they were cleansed.
4. 15 One of them, when he saw he was
healed, came back, praising God in a loud
voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet
and thanked him—and he was a
Samaritan.
5. 17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed?
Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one
returned to give praise to God except this
foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise
and go; your faith has made you well.”
8. for his deliverance (Ps 35:18),
for loving us and being faithful (Ps 52:9; 107:8),
for hearing our cry (Ps 118:21),
for safe arrival after a long, arduous journey (Acts 28:15),
for other believers and for the testimony of their faith (Rom 1:8),
for the gift of salvation that enables one not to sin (Rom 6:17),
for delivering us from our tendency to sin (Rom 7:25),
for the spiritual gift of being able to address God (1 Cor 14:18),
for resurrection hope (1 Cor 15:57),
for testimony, deliverance and victory in the midst of persecution (2 Cor 2:14),
15. You say grace before meals. All right. But I say
grace before the concert and the opera, and
grace before the play and pantomime, and
grace before I open a book, and grace before
sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing,
walking, playing, dancing and grace before I dip
the pen in the ink.

If you are taking notes, the title of my message today is “LASTING IMPRESSIONS”.
At first reading, we are tempted to immediately zoom our observation lenses into the Jesus attitude on the situation.
But for our message today, I want us to put our lenses to the 10 leppers and what kind of lessons we can learn from their encounter with Jesus.
So if there is one take away point I would like you to bring home this morning is “The expression of our faith reflects the impression Jesus has on our lives.”
So how does one express ones faith?
Before we go further into the passage. Lets examine the characters involved in the passage we just read.
