Canned Banners is a self-serve tool that allows SMBs to create their own Flash banner ads.
Hi, I’m Myles Younger, co-founder of Canned Banners.
What does Canned Banners do? We make it really easy to create banner ads.
Because there’s a problem out there, and the problem is that good banner ads are expensive and time-consuming to make. It usually takes at least a week and a few hundred, if not several thousand dollars to have a set of high-quality Flash banner ads made.
And rather than subject you to the boredom of waching another software demo, I’ll just quickly show you how Canned Banners simplifies banner ad design. Our users start with pre-designed templates. This is one from our website. They add their own images and text. And select other design options like color scheme and font. We’re missing the Flash animation here, but you can see how easy it is to design a completely new ad.
Obviously this is a great tool for small businesses. SMBs want online advertising tools that are fast, simple, and affordable. Canned Banners can upgrade the sophistication of their online advertising at a very low price.
Who else might find Canned Banners useful? The online media and publishing industry – basically anyone who sells banner ad space. They’d love to have an efficient way to tap into the SMB market, which represents about 6 million businesses in the U.S. alone.Because when a small business comes to these websites and ad networks with the Flash ad they just made on Canned Banners, they’ve got cash in hand and they’re ready to buy banner ad space. So our ad creation tool can act as a catalyst to help capture this ad revenue. And by forming partnerships with these websites and ad networks, Canned Banners can put itself in a position to capitalize on this value that we’re bringing to the table.
So that’s it. I’ve just shown you what Canned Banners does, what the business problem is, and how we intend to make money by solving it.
