School Bus Safety
It is almost that time again. Whether you are getting a child off to school for
the first time or whether they have ridden the school bus for many years, it
is time to discuss and refresh those bus safety rules.
For anxious first-timers, did you know that according to the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the school bus is the safest method
of getting your child to school? School buses are designed to be safer than
passenger cars.
With that being said, discuss the rules of bus safety with your child. Safety
can be made into a fun activity with this activity book.

Here are some tips and reminders about school bus safety!
-Do NOT pass buses when their red flashing lights are on.
-Be aware of distracted children possibly walking into the street around the
bus.
-Avoid distracted driving
-Make teen drivers aware of possible hazards around school buses
-Ensure children are on time at the bus stop
-Talk with your children about school bus safety.
