E-Choupal is an initiative by ITC Ltd that provides farmers in rural India with access to information online through computers set up in rural "Choupals", or meeting places. This allows farmers to obtain real-time local and global information on weather, market prices, and best farming practices. Farmers can also purchase inputs and sell their products through e-Choupal. The program aims to improve farmers' livelihoods by enhancing productivity and market access while reducing costs. It has expanded to over 40,000 villages across 10 states in India, empowering 4 million farmers through its 6,500 e-Choupal centers.
