Groups for IT Alumni
Majority of the subjects here is delivered by the Computer Science department but unfortunately,
the teacher was not able to come to the said activity. There is a need to look into the details how
IPRO113, PROG113, PROG323, STPROG223 is being delivered to the students.
The upper year subjects will be adjusting the the strategies to be able to train the students in this
defficiencies. Everyone agreed that teching techologies to student will be easier if students will be
good in this important skills. All subjects should tain students to think critically, develop interpersonal
skills, leadership through proper teaching strategies.
Item 11.4.4 Entrepreneurial Capabilities of students is a good input done by our alumni Mr.
Giovanni Petratche. Mr. Petrache is one of the first batch of IT graduates who went self employed and
became successful in it. This requirement has to be added to the existing Profile of an Ideal BSIT
Graduate. Further discussions is required on how to implement and train students to aquire this skill.
The need to setup an alumni group for self employed IT alumni was noted.
We should prepare the students not in the past, not in today's world, but in their world to come …
