verification that a building, home or community was
designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving

Building projects achieve LEED certification based on
the number of points they earn.
Usually 100 base points (depending on the project)
for all 5 green design categories, plus 6 bonus points
for Innovation in Design and 4 Regional Priority
points, for a total of 110 points.
LEED for Homes is based on a 125-point scale, plus
11 bonus points for Innovation in Design.
