AsGaneshChaturdiisroundthecorner,thefestivemoodhasalreadybegunineveryhousehold,toaddlittlemoresparktothefestivaland
to make your celebrations memorable; your big family, The BRIDGE COUNTY has planned to bring in various cultural programs to
entertainandtobringoutthetalentofthecommunitymembersintolimelight.Itisnotjustforentertainment,butanoccasiontorecollectand
reconnect to our culture. Every day puja ceremony shall be performed in the morning (6.00-7.00am) and evening 6.00 – 7.00 pm. Daily
culturalprogrammeshavebeenplannedto makethis eventmemorableand to promote communitybondingamongstthe Bridge County
familymembers.

What so ever is the occasion,it is incomplete without a dance performance
andespeciallywhenitisaculturaleventsurelywelookforaclassicaldance.
So just to remind our community about our culture, both “Kuchipudi and
Bhartanatyam”performancesareplannedonthefirstdayby:

touchoffunandmastion2nddayofcelebrations
Day 3: Saturday,the19thSeptember2015from7.30–9.00pm.
On the third day, it is the most exciting part of Ganesh Navratri Utsav, as we
haveaspecialprogramwhichwillentertaineverymember,nomatteryoungor
old. Yes it will, because it is the puppet show or “Tholu bommalata”. It is the
theatre tradition of Andhra Pradesh; this is an ancient custom, which for
centuriesbeforeradio,movies,andtelevisionerahasprovidedknowledgeof
Hinduepicsandlocalfolktales.Ofcourse,nowthatwebelongto21stcentury
and all these are just stories of past. But in our endeavour to recollect and
reconnect to our past and give our children the experience of ancient time's
entertainment, we plan to present the puppet show on the third day of
celebrations.
Day 4: Sunday,the20thSeptember2015,from7.30–10.30pm
VivahabojanamuVintayinaVantakambuViyyalavarivinduahahhahahanake
mundu..!!! Remember this song? Undoubtedly, one must know about this
famous song if their mother tongue is Telugu. It's been more than half a
century,butstilltheselyricsarepopularamongstandhraites.Butjustincase,
ifyouhaveforgottenabouttheseandthemovie,noworry,weshallremindyou
onthefourthdayofourGanesh Navaratriutsavbyscreeningthismovieinthe
oldopenairtheatrestyle.
Day 5: Monday,the21stSeptember2015,from7.30–8.30pm.
Howmanyofyouhaveeverheardagrouptellingastoryorperformingadramaontheroad?We
bet, mostofyouwouldn'thave,evenifyouhave,itshouldhavebeeninchildhoodinsomevillage,
but surely not in the recent past. So here we are presenting you the art of verbal story telling
technique, where a troupe consists of one main and two co - performers who entertain by
performingdramas,prayers,dance,andsongsinnarrativewaywhichiscalled“BurraKatha”To
enjoytheHindumythologicalstorydojoinusonthefifthdayofcelebrations.

3. Day 6: Tuesday,the22ndSeptember2015,from7.30–8.30pm.
On any occasion it is for sure we have to plan a programme based on singing, to continue
the theme here we present mesmerising karnatic singer Ms. Goda Nyaki with devotional
songs todropyouintothedivinelandasapartofsixthdaycelebrations.
Day 7: Wednesday,the23rdSeptember2015,from7.30–8.30pm
OnSeventhdaytodipyouintheholywordsandversesofgod webringyouanenlightening
“Pravarchanalu”deliverdbyMrs.Nagamanitothrowsomelightonhowtoleadapeacefullife
anddifferentiatebetweengoodandevil.
Day 8: Thursday,the24thSeptember2015,from7.30–8.30pm
And again back to fun with “Kolattam”. Kolattam is the name of an alluring and charming
danceformpractisedbyfemalesofAndhraPradesh,TamiNaduandothersouthernstatesof
India. Kolattam is derived from kol, which means a small stick and attam, which means play.
The dance is performed by using two sticks to make charming and rhythmic sounds. To
witnessthevisualtreatjoinusoneightdayofcelebrations.
Day 9: Friday,the25thSeptember2015,from7.30–8.30pm
On the final day that is the ninth day it is just going to be fun, fun and fun because it is
anthyakshari. Yes we have this exclusive event to make sure that each of you will participate
enjoyyourselvesthoroughly.Aswebelievethereisnothingmorehappythanopeningupheart
andbeingthepartofjoyandfunthatallneeded. Sojoinusandshowcaseyoursingingtalent,
ohdidweforgettomentionthatwehaveplannedprizesforthebestsinger,winningteam?So
whatareyouwaitingfor?comeandclaimyourprizeonthe9thdayofcelebrations.
Day 10: Saturday, the 26th
September 2015, from 12.00 pm
onwards
After 9 days of celebrations , on the
10th day it is planned to have a
communitylunchandallareinvited.
Day 11: Sunday,the27thSeptember2015,from9.00amonwards.
Andlastly,theveryimportantevent immersionoftheLordGaneshawholistenedandacceptedallyourprayersforninelongdayswillbe
sent back to his abode with a huge Procession more or less like a farewell party until the next Ganesh Chaturdi. So folks, we all played,
danced, Sung, in our path of devotion and to convey our prayers to the Lord Ganesha for 9 days so let’s all bid adieu to lord Ganesha
