This is a synopsis of my non profit that I put in our local magazine called Down South Sports

1. One of the most important reasons for creating Pro-File Sports Management Company, is that a
student-athlete can be so focused on making it to the professional level that they just forget that there
are other opportunities out there that could be lucrative and self-fulfilling. Most sport conscientious
people consider the new landscape of college sports to be athlete-students because of the lack of prepa-
ration to be academically sound and focusing more on making it to the professional level of that sport of
their choice. I can recall many instances in my lifetime that the athlete either became hurt, lost eligibility,
or just lost their scholarship because of sub-par grades and misbehavior on their part. After that, they
became reclusive, angry, and ultimately, a detriment to himself and society because the student-athlete
became obsessed wifh making it to the professional level. Only 1% of college athletes even make it to
the pros. After not being able to fulfill the dreams of making it to the professional level, they become filled
with rage and self-doubt. Sometimes this leads to situations in which they may revert to crime or other
types of behavior which could lead to costly decision-making problems in their life. It is not to say that a
student-athlete should not strive to make it to the professional level, but should be realistic and true to
themselves about the possibilities of making it to the pros. Longevity in professional sports is short and
fleeting, but obtaining a degree and acquiring knowledge stays with a student-athlete for the rest of their
lives.
I feel that being prepared academically at the high school level, and using that academic foundation to
succeed at the collegiate level will increase a student-athlete's opportunities to succeed in life. This
program will help them focus not just on academics, but the issues that student-athletes will face once
they enter college. P.S.M.C. will offer seminars on various subjects that are directly related to our
student-athletes in this day and age of collegiate and professional sports. If your school or group feels

About the Founder:
In 1995, I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administra-
tion. Mr concentration consisted of management, marketing, and office administration. I have over 12
years 0 sales, marketing, and management skills during the course of my career. I have a deep love for
the business of sports and the

sophomore year of college that Basketball, Football, Baseball & Soccer
I wanted to be involved in the
sport business. I have Master's Perry Boler, III - President
