2. About Jean Piaget Jean was born 9th of august, 1896 He died the 16th of September 1980 Known for genetic epistemology theory of cognitive development.

3. Process of Intellectual Development He believed that there were 4 major stages in an individuals development. Where there was a major change in the persons ability to know and perceive things. This is called cognitive development.

4. Sensorimotor period Age: birth to 18 months. A person starts to move from reflex to reflective behaviour.

5. Preoperational Period Age: 18 months – 7 years. A person develops language and number skills.

6. Concrete Operations Period Age: 12-15 years. A person develops the ability to speculate and think in abstract term.
