RED: STOP and pay close
attention. Anything in RED is
critical information. Copy the
exact information.
YELLOW: Pay attention.
Anything in YELLOW is useful
information. Paraphrase in
YOUR OWN WORDS.
GREEN: Read and GO on to the
next point. You do not have to
write anything in green.

Copy HW into Agenda and
review notes until the town
crier rings the bell.

7. Dear book
Take out your
DEAR book and
read when you
finish a class
assignment, test,
or quiz early.

8. Discussion & Debate
One person speaks at a time.
Be an Active Listener.
Add to the discussion, take notes &/or write
questions.

9. Dismissal
Do Not pack up until the teacher dismisses class.
Tidy your area, return supplies, throw out trash,
and recycle papers before leaving.

10. Getting Your Attention
When the teacher rings the
LIBERTY BELL:
Stop, face the teacher, and
listen.

When the town crier rings the liberty bell:
FREEZE & put pens/pencils down.
Face the town crier and listen attentively.
Follow directions.

19. Turning in Assignments
Place ALL assignments in your class period’s MAILBOX.
Do NOT turn in assignments to the teacher or place on the
teacher’s desk.
